The design data for the bio-inspired flapping wing structures is provided in Matlab .mat files, formatted in a two-column structure. The first column corresponds to the structural parameters, including compliance, natural frequency, and mass transfer efficiency, while the second column includes the corresponding geometric properties derived from the Variable-Periodic Voronoi Tessellation (VPVT) optimization. The data sets are generated for multiple wing configurations, with results for different tessellation patterns and optimization parameters organized in individually named files. Each file contains a header with a detailed description of the specific conditions used for optimization, including the target performance metrics. The physical performance improvements, such as stiffness, natural frequency, and aerodynamic efficiency, are calculated through comparative analysis against natural insect wing samples. The optimized results are expressed in terms of percentage improvements relative to baseline models, and these results are provided for a range of truss structures and design iterations.
