Development and testing of vascular networks for self-healing cementitious materials - data

Download (79.63 MB)

This dataset contains the test results from self-healing of cementitious materials containing vascular networks. The vascular networks were formed via linear interconnecting hollow channels filled with healing agents. The samples size range from 255mm to 1m in length. Two healing agents used in this study, cyanoacrylate (CA) and sodium silicate (SS).

The files correspond to: i) Channel and connection design images. ii) Parametric study on capillary rise and surface coverage of SS healing agent in concrete, with CMOD (mm), height (mm), Time (min), Area agent (%). iii) Concrete beam specimens with vascular networks embedded (sets 1-3). All raw test data contains Date, Time, Load (kN), Stroke (mm), Pressure  (bar) CMOD (mm). Set 1 – 11 tests CA+SS. Set 2 - 13 test containing CA, Set 3 - 15 tests containing SS. iv) Concrete slab specimen Sets 4 and 5. Set 4 – 4 tests on 600mm square slabs containing SS with Date, Time, Load (kN), Stroke (mm), displacement side + centre (mm) CMOD (mm). Set 5 – 1000mm square slabs images only. v) Concrete site trial panel with vascular networks and sodium silicate. images of panels containing vascular networks (set 6).

Research results based upon these data are published at http://doi.org/10.1061/(ASCE)MT.1943-5533.0003802
