<p dir="ltr">This is the dataset for the paper "Reasons to learn a minoritised language: the case of migrant new speakers of Welsh in Cardiff, Wales” accepted for publication" in <i>Language, Culture and Curriculum. </i> The dataset contains 10 de-identified interview transcripts and dairies related to participants' reasons to learn Welsh and everyday experiences of using and practising the language. Pseudonyms are used in the dataset.</p>
